Kenney Outdoor Solutions Gets Tough with New Ice Melt to Benefit Charity

In preparation for the upcoming winter season, our sister company Kenney Outdoor Solutions has partnered with a major fertilizer manufacturer to bring to market a private-label ice melt that is not only more effective than competing products but will also help raise money for cancer research. Sold under the brand name “The TOUGHEST Ice Melter”, the new product will help support the Chad Tough Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to funding research and raising awareness about Pediatric Brain Tumors. The cover story in the July edition of Golf Course Management magazine, the monthly publication of the GCSAA, features a customer of Kenney Machinery Corporation. The story is about Dean Beanblossom, the superintendent of Chariot Run Golf course in Laconia, Indiana.  It details Dean’s unlikely path to his current position, and recounts several severe accidents he was involved in along the way that changed the course of his life. Kenney Machinery Participates in First Annual STMA Demo Day at Victory Field

The Indiana Sports Turf Managers Association held their first demo day at Victory Field on July 17th, and Kenney Machinery was there with all of the latest equipment from Toro for attendees to try out in person. Equipment available for demonstration included the ProCore 648, Workman GTX, and the Dingo Compact Utility Loader. The event was well attended, with many of the attendees coming from schools in the area. Recently, two Kenney Machinery employees had the opportunity to participate in a community service project on the south side of Indianapolis as part of a leadership development program.
